Reservations are accepted no more than 9 months in advance of stay dates unless you are a repeat renter in good standing. Saturday check-in/check out days are required unless pre-approved. Message me for discounts on multi-month stays during summer and fall. Pet approval required.
The quiet neighborhood is a nice mix of families, seniors and working professionals with sidewalks perfect for strolls, pet walks or bike rides. Fresh Market grocery store and a mix of shops and restaurants are only a few blocks away. Travel a few more blocks to the local sports bar/restaurant and popular hangout, Carson's Tavern.
Don't miss the Sunday Green Market in downtown Stuart for fresh produce, local crafts as well as free outdoor concerts along the Indian River Lagoon's outdoor amphitheater. Walk down the boardwalk to the Marina and chat with the boaters at popular Sailor's Return Restaurant which also provides great evening entertainment where you can 'dance the night away'.
Stuart Public Beach is 3 miles east over the 2 causeway bridges with fantastic views of the waterway and offers free parking, plenty of beach access paths and clean public facilities. If you enjoy swimming or lounging by the pool the YMCA of the Treasure Coast is 1.5 miles from the house by car or 1 mile by walking or biking through the neighborhood. The pool is heated to 84 degrees in the winter months and offers leisure swim, lap swim and water fitness classes for a daily or weekly fee. This locally popular facility also includes a state of the art fitness facility.

The covered patio is incorporated within the fully fenced yard and a nice place to read, work, phone etc. The backyard is tropically landscaped for privacy and enjoyment. We recently added fiber optic cable for super fast speed. Wifi has always been very reliable.

About the host: We moved to south Florida in 1987, love living here and have many family and friend visitors. My husband is in the real estate business and once our children were independent, we decided to start a short term rental business of homes that we can use for our own guests and renters.
Why this property? Our first rental property was not pet friendly and yet, we were commonly asked if pets were allowed. We have dogs and understand how important it is for some people to travel with their pets. Therefore, we purchased this cottage and the cottage next door to fill the demand for clean, well maintained, well located and PET FRIENDLY rental properties.
We enjoy living here in Martin County because of the climate, beaches and small town quality of life. However, it is possible to experience what the large metro areas have to offer within a 2 hour drive to Miami and Orlando and all points in between. Life is good here in South Florida!

My fiancé and I stayed in this beautiful clean home for a couple of months. It has everything you need to have a great stay. Allison was wonderful to work with and was easy to communicate with! Would recommended this home to anyone looking to stay in Stuart or that would like to bring their furry friends with them.

Not only was this home cozy and inviting, but it is also in the best location! The home is decorated as one would imagine Florida should be...colorful and happy. It is close to the beaches, shopping, and downtown activities while being tucked into a nice walkable neighborhood. The gated area on the porch is where my dog and I sat when not out and about. I did have to alter my date of arrival, and Allison was helpful and accommodating. There are 2 books on the counter- one full of places to eat, and the other of things to do when you arrive. A definite YES for another stay here.

Christine L.Cottage close to everything
We stayed in Stuart for late March thru April. The cottage had everything we needed along with a nice patio for relaxing and a fenced yard for our puppy. We did a lot of grilling on the Weber gas grill. The layout of the house is great and the beds and bathroom comfortable. We walked the neighborhood and took advantage of a guest membership at the YMCA. We were close to downtown Stuart and the beach. The owner is helpful and responsive. A hidden gem.

The house was in a perfect location for us to meet the newest member of our family! The kids house was just up the street in walking distance. Perfect for us to spend time with our new grandson!Location is also great for all the beaches that we took our dog too every morning and close to town for the Sunday morning farmers market and boardwalk.The house was great and the first time it felt like home away from home!
