Area Information
Siesta Key is a barrier island located in Sarasota, Florida, approximately 1 hour south of Tampa, Florida and Tampa International Airport; just 25 minutes from Sarasota Bradenton Airport.
The sand on Crescent Beach, just across the way from this condo, is 99% quartz and is the world's finest, whitest sand in the world. Siesta Key Beach has been named #1 beach twice by Dr. Beach and #1 and #2 in 2022 by Tripadvisor.
Some must do's on the island while you are here is of course to visit Crescent Beach; watch a picture perfect sunset; visit Turtle Beach to the south; visit Siesta Key Village on board the free trolley on the island; rent a boat and spend the day lounging or fishing or both; kayaking; paddleboarding; take a ride on the tiki hut boat up the Intracoastal Waterway; walk to Captain Curt's for a taste of their renowned chowder; eat at one of the local seafood restaurants on the island such as Big Water; have breakfast at Toasted Mango Cafe.
Off the island, you can take a ride to Myakka River State Park and spend the day bike riding, taking an airboat ride or just exploring this fantastic state park while taking in some of the Old Florida that is reflective of our area; eat lunch at The Point restaurant on the Intracoastal Waterway in Osprey while listening to some great music or tossing beanbags for cornhole; take a trip to St. Armand's Circle for shopping and lunch and while you are there, take a walk on Lido Beach on Lido Key, another barrier island; take a trip downtown and have a cocktail at the Rooftop Lounge at the Westin Hotel.
As you can tell, there is a lot to do while you are here, not to mention taking in a show at one of the many arts venues in town.

About the host: Our love affair with Siesta Key and the community started independently. Maria grew up on Siesta Key in the 70's and returned to Sarasota after attending college and Ed vacationed on Siesta Key in the 80's before moving to Sarasota permanently in 1989. It has been a dream to own on Siesta Key for several years, having been in the hotel and hospitality business for the last 15 years. The completion of this renovation to our Siesta Sand Dollar is a dream come true and we wish to share it with those who appreciate being a part of Siesta Key island living.
Why this property? Newly renovated and well stocked with everything you could possibly think of to make your vacation stay one the best you every experienced. Although it is not gulf front, you still have the serenity of island living since the Siesta Harbor yacht basin is just outside the lanai with water views everywhere. But most importantly, we are local owners and tend to this property regularly, using it for our ourselves as often as we can.

Thank you both for staying with us. We are thrilled that you found us and hope you will consider staying with us again if you come back to visit Siesta Key.
Great condo for relaxing
This was our first stay in the Siesta Key area and this condo set the bar quite high. It is set in an over 55 complex with a pool, covered parking and across the street access to the beautiful beach. Captain Curt’s, the Daiquiri Deck, a grocery store and coffee shop are all withing walking distance. A trolley stop is in front of the complex. The condo itself is very clean and fully stocked with many items we hadn’t expected. The two bedrooms and associated baths were well appointed with the main bedroom having a walk-in closet. The kitchen is fully updated and large enough for both of us to move around without getting in each other’s way. And the lanai overlooking the waterway access to the intracoastal was our favorite room. But the most impressive feature for us was the quiet. Very relaxing!
