This cozy and spacious home located in the heart of Key Largo has available water access in the backyard. Located centrally in the Cross Kay Waterways neighborhood near shops, restaurants, and across from state park John Pennekamp. A fisherman's paradise. Publix and Winn Dixie are located less than 5 minutes away. Snorkeling, kayaking, bicycling, and running are all nearby. Jacob's aquatic center with olympic pools 5 minutes away. Rowell's waterfront Park is 5 minutes away. Playa Largo resort with beach and pool access is 8 minutes away. Founder's Park with beach access is 15 minutes away.
The house is equipped with a newly installed central AC and heater, washer and dryer inside the property, 4 beach towels, a full kitchen equipped with 4 slice toaster, 6 cup coffee maker, tea kettle, extra knives, two sets of utensils, stainless steel pots and pans, Dutch oven pot, oven casserole pot, cooking sheet, blender, air fryer, refrigerator with ice machine, water machine for 5 gal jugs, impact windows, 2 queen beds and 1 bunk bed with space for 3 children, a newly renovated wood deck, internet and wifi, smart TVs (one in the living room, one in the kids room, and another one in the guest bedroom), Adirondack chairs, BBQ with gas tank and grilling tools, fire pit with fire starter and wood, dock and deck areas easily accessible, 2 kayaks, outdoor storage with 4 beach chairs, floaties, and vests.
As your host, we try our best to make the house as amenable as possible, always keeping in mind that some amenities from your own home may not be available. We are here to serve you and as such are available any time you need to improve your travel experience.
The house is equipped with main necessities and some more specialized perks like the margarita machine, an ice maker machine, a large toaster, and new stainless steel pots and pans.
Absolutely no smoking allowed inside the house or on the deck. No pets allowed on top of the bed or on the couches. Additional fees will be charged if beds/couches are soiled with animal fluids/hair as stipulated in the contract.

The home is near a shopping center with a Publix and stores. Nearby restaurants are numerous and if desired, easily accessible by bike. Favorite restaurants in the area are Fish House, Key Largo Fisheries, Sundowners, Lazy Lobster Seafood, Upper Crust Pizza, Tower of Pizza, Keys Chocolates and Ice Cream, Snook's Bayside, Mrs. Mac's Kitchen, and Islamorada Brewery.
The area is very safe and peaceful. It is very common to find residents walking their pets in the evening and families riding bikes. The bay offers quick access to the ocean side through Adam's cut. Both the bay and the ocean waters remain warm through the end of November. The waters are a green/aqua color depending on the area.
There are plenty of charter companies to scuba dive, snorkel, or go fishing. Key largo is 30 minutes away from the nearest city, Florida City, and 30 minutes from Islamorada. It is about 2.5-3 hours away from Key West depending on traffic.

Below are all the possible fees we charge, no hidden fees:
-PET FEE: Small pets are allowed under 35 lbs. and a pet fee of $150 will be charged per pet. IMPORTANT: No pets are allowed on top of the beds or the couches. Soiled fabric with pet hair or body fluids will be deducted from the deposit based on estimated invoice from a local carpet cleaning company.
-CLEANING FEE: $200 monthly fee not included in the rental fee.
-TAXES: 7% for Monroe County. There is an additional 5% tourist development tax required by Monroe County in rentals less than 6 months
-DAMAGE/SECURITY DEPOSIT: The $500 monthly damage deposit is not included in the rental fee and will be returned within 7 days after the renter vacates the property and an inspection of the property is made, and the property has no damages. We reserve the right to keep your deposit if damages have been incurred to the property up to 30 days after vacating the property. See the Rental Agreement for further information.
-DOCK FEE: $500 - waived when the house is rented for two months or more. Please know this is the fee owners pay to store the boat. There is a shortage of storage in the Keys during high season and most storage facilities won't take the boat for just one month.
-UTILITY FEES are included in the rent amount stated above for one-month rentals only. Utility charges for short-term rentals longer than one month are as follows: Guest shall pay for electricity and water. See the Rental Agreement for further information.
-CANCELLATIONS: Travelers who cancel at least 14 days (or 30 days for short-term rentals longer than one month) before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they have paid. Travelers who cancel at least 7 days (or 14 days for short-term rentals longer than one month) before check-in will get back 50% of the amount they have paid. Located directly on a canal- right near Adams Cut for Ocean access, Canal opens to Blackwater Sound - offering access to gulf side also. From our seawall we saw manatee, dolphin, tarpon, needle fish, & barracuda. Convenient land location - minutes to Pennekamp State Park, Dagny Johnson State Park & easy drive to Everglades Ernest Coe/Homestead entrance- in addition to several other nearby attractions- History of Diving Museum, The Turtle Hospital, Laura Quinn Bird Sanctuary, & The Keys Discovery Center in Islamorada. House is also very close to several restaurants, local breweries. Clean home, spacious & comfortable both inside & out. Well equipped kitchen, with many amenities- even a Margarita mixer! Gracious host- very responsive to any inquiries. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time! Beautiful house, everything brand new, recently renovated. Owners provided plenty of everyday supplies for us, and all the cooking gadgets we could wish for were there, even an air fryer! The location is walking distance from quite a few great restaurants; the main land is accessible by car, so we enjoyed Everglades and Miami attractions, about an hour away from us. The backyard is facing a channel; we had manatees and birds coming right to our house! We enjoyed two kayaks that came with the house, extra bonus! Grettel is a wonderful host, she replied to the messages literally within 15 min. We had the microwave broken, and she ordered a new one immediately! She also helped us to restore the internet quickly when it suddenly went down (happened only once in a month long stay). Thank you Grettel and family for letting us enjoy your house, we greatly enjoyed our break from cold winter!
