Unique Benefits
This home is equipped much better then the typical rental and has beach gear.
Prime location and convenient Village, Free SCAT Trolley Buses, restaurants and night life. Everything is a short distance from Siesta Key unlike many other locations.
Most everything you could want is a close in this quality small city, just ask me and I can make recommendations.
Why Kids Love It
The beach sand is easy for younger children to run back and forth to the water because it has a gentle slope and packs hard at waters edge but is soft, cool and clean white quartz sand powder sand where it is dry. You can run and walk the beach, as many do because it is nearly flat at waters edge unlike many beaches that have super spongy sand that gets hot and hard to walk or run on.
Area Information
Siesta Key and the Sand that this property has private ownership of to average mean high tide, is made of white quartz crystals and has been rated as the #1, #2 best in the US and in some cases the world by renowned authorities or experts on beaches. Siesta Key Village is only 3.5 blocks from this home and you can walk the beach at sunset or take the sidewalk to get there. It is a very nice walking or running beach if that is what you enjoy. It packs hard where it has been wet so you can even ride a bicycle on it at the edge but where it is dry it is like sugar and does not get hot to your feet. Light grade to the surf and very child friendly for them to play at waters edge with parents watchful eyes.
Getting around
You can take tip taxi's, they have large golf carts to minivans. There are buses and Trolleys. You can rent a car and see the many attractions Sarasota offers and that is why I recommend a car because Sarasota has more then just Siesta Beach and you will find it to be a wonderful place to take in all the culture and beauty of the surrounding area, shops and restaurants.
Getting here
Check in is at 4 pm. and you can come at your convenience then or after if your arrival will be later. Go directly to the home. I will give you a code to gain access just contact me prior to your arrival for code.
Interaction with guest
I am available for your questions by email, text or phone if needed.
Attractions Within Walking Distance
Siesta Key Village shops, restaurants , ice cream parlors, night life, and market. Walk or take the free Trolley almost to your door to all fun spots, marinas and other beaches on the key.
Favorite Places To Eat
There are many excellent restaurants in this area and just off the Island. Just send me a email and I can give you recommendations.
Inside Scoop
Ask and I will tell you but need to keep them quiet so I can get a seat when I need one.

About the host: I have lived on Siesta Key since 1986 and have enjoyed Siesta Beach's white sand, Gulf of Mexico turquoises waters , boating, Siesta Village and the Real Estate Business on the Key. I am here to help you with this property or another property rental or purchase. I can guide you to the places that I find special or give you my years of insight, if you would like.
I recently sold this home after 28 years, but am managing the property for the new owner.
Why this property? It has private beach frontage. The whitest quartz sand you will find anywhere in the world which is cool to the feet and easy to walk, run or ride a bike on but soft where it is dry.
The location is superb, 3.5 blocks to Siesta Village which can be walked to from the beach or sidewalk. You can take a free Trolley and catch it right in front of the house. There are tip taxis, and of coarse the Uber and Lyft options. A car is recommended so you can visit the other many things to do in our area, but not required.
You hear the surf with the patio doors open and far enough from the Village so that you do not hear the music when you do not want to.

Great property on the sand.
We had a great week despite the heat of summer. This house although dated was clean, cool and comfortable. It was a two minute walk through the back yard to the sand. We had a few minor house keeping issues that David the property manager immediately resolved. He went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. He was so quick to respond and help out where he could. Any problems that arose were immediately taken care of swiftly and promptly. It could have used a couple little things like dish towels, soap for the shower, a few throw blankets for the couch, a few trash bags to get us through the week and a few more hangers. Overall, it was conveniently located and pretty quiet considering it's located on the main beach road. The windows in the front of the house are old and could use some updating which would help with any street noises. The carpet definitely needs to be replaced. The beach umbrellas weren't great quality and could be upgraded to something with SPF to protect from the intense sun. There were plenty of new beach chairs, tons of floats and noodles and beach toys. It was great to have the screened in porches with comfortable outdoor furniture. The kitchen and breakfast nook are beautiful and newly renovated with high end Kitchen Aid appliances. It's a very pretty space. The beds were comfortable and all the rooms had nice ceiling fans to add to the AC.

Relaxation and BEAUTIFUL Beach!
Great beachfront home! David was a wonderful host! The beach is BEAUTIFUL!! Fluffy white sand and clear blue water! Such a relaxing vacation. The house is very close to the Siesta Key Village full of restaurants and shops, and also very close to amenities in Sarasota. David keeps this house fully stocked with everything you need at the beach and in the home. The beach is a short walk away, with views from the 2 larger bedrooms. We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful Location!
We had a great stay! We visited for spring break with our two school-age kids and their grandparents. The location was fantastic - right on the beach with your own private path to the beach, and near the Village. There was room for everyone. The kitchen was large and beautiful with plenty of refrigerators (one big one and two beverage fridges), and was well-stocked. The entire back of the house is screened-in porch - you can see the ocean from all rooms except one of the bedrooms. The bathrooms were newly redone and large. The decor was nothing special, but who cares when you're at the beach. The backyard was large and fenced in and had lounge chairs and umbrellas. We were able to bring our dog, who loved all the porches. (No dogs allowed on the beach, however.) The two garages had lots of beach chairs and toys, etc. and our kids loved the beach wagon. We had an issue with our shower not draining, but David (the owner) was very responsive and got it taken care of. We also had trouble getting the dryer to start but he also helped with that. A welcome sheet with information like the wifi password, trash day, recommended restaurants, etc. would be helpful, but all in all we had a wonderful stay and would love to return!

Owner response
Thank you so much for renting my beach home! I am glad your family had a great time and enjoyed the home and location on Siesta Beach! The dryer button is tricky, you have to push the top of the button to start and the bottom to pause. I am sorry for the shower drain, I had him out to fix before you came but I guess he did not get it fully unclogged. Sand along with hair is always a challenge. Rinsing in the outside shower first will help for future guests and I will make that list. TY! DB
Stunning views!
This house is absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed everything about it- The house itself including the inside amenities as well as the spectacular views from every room, the location right on the beach, & the closeness to the village with all of the restaurants and shops was perfect.
