Welcome to Thula Mati (Zulu for “Calm Water”), what we wish for our guests to experience while visiting our breezy, private, and secluded, bayfront Placida Beach condo. Designed for those who prefer peace and tranquility over hustle and bustle. If you’re looking for an easier, more upscale, yet very private feeling Little Gasparilla Island escape, you’ve found your new island home away from home.

Our fully renovated 2 bedroom, 1 bath, bayfront end unit (only shared wall is behind our refrigerator) at Placida Beach Condos is tucked away from island foot “traffic” into the mangroves with its sole views being the bay and the tropical foliage that populates the island. Perfect for a couple, a solo wellness retreat, or a small quiet family looking for peace, tranquility, and privacy.

Park in our complimentary secure gated parking area, load up a trolly with your groceries and bag, roll it straight onto the ferry service, straight off onto the dock, and to the front of our condo.

After a day at the beach, take a dip in the year-round climate-controlled freshwater pool before retreating to the shade of the mangroves and cool breezes blowing in off the bay for a nap in our split king (choose the Brooklyn Mattress Titan Firm if you’re a back sleeper or larger half of the couple, or the EcoSleep Organic Latex half for side sleeper or smaller partner). Slink down into the crisp, cool, bright white 100% Organic Bamboo Sateen linens to dream about your perfect beach day. Choose your favorite pillows to curate your perfect night's sleep from our diverse “pillow bar.”

Our foodie friends will appreciate the well-equipped kitchen to prepare simple beach picnics or gourmet feasts. We keep the kitchen well stocked with high-end basics and condiments for the holistically minded, such as Avacado oil, coconut oil, olive oil, Himalayan pink salt, coconut sugar, and a full suite of organic spices and dried herbs. And for our fellow wellness junkies, we provide yoga mats, blocks, and straps to get your Om on while meditating to the bay view.

For those that want their “sports fix”, we have a large flat-screen TV combined with high-speed internet, if you need to catch up with work emails … we hope you don't! There is also a fully equipped gym on the mainland for you workout junkies, as well as tennis courts.

Our bathroom features high-end individual hotel toiletries as well as organic reef-safe sunscreen, DEET-free (essential oil-based) bug spray along with quick-drying Turkish Towels.

**Our second bedroom is a “tiny house style” loft bedroom accessible via a folding ladder. It may not be suitable for very young children. Our friends with mobility-related challenges will prefer to opt for the main level bedroom (although a flight of stairs is required to access the front door).

While this condo is new to FloridaRentals, we are not newbie hosts! We are the previous owners of the very popular Ukuthula House on LGI. Area Information

Little Gasparilla Island is a stunning bridgeless barrier island accessible by boat only. We provide secure, upscale, gated mainland parking, ferry service, trash pickup service, and a freshwater heated pool. Bring your groceries in our included ferry carts, roll them the short distance off the ferry to the condo and relax for some blissful island time!
