About the owner: As a family of five, we have been living in the beautiful state of Florida for quite some time now, and we must say there's nothing quite like it. The state has something to offer for everyone, no matter where you are located. Whether you're a golf enthusiast, a fishing lover, or an adventurer who loves kayaking, Florida has it all.
My husband is a golf lover, and we are fortunate enough to live just a few minutes away from some of the best golf courses in the state. My older girls love to spend their free time scalloping and fishing, and my youngest enjoys kayaking through the seven rivers.
Florida is often stereotyped as a place for beaches and theme parks, but it is much more than that. Our favorite spot in Homosassa truly represents what Florida is all about. It's a place where you can slow down and savor the state's natural beauty. Florida welcomes everyone with open arms.
If you're looking for a good read, I highly recommend "A Land Remembered." The book beautifully captures what Florida once was and still is today. And, if you're interested, there's a copy of the book in our river house that you're welcome to read.
We hope you enjoy our little slice of heaven as much as we do. Our river house is where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature.
Why this property? We yearned for an escape from the chaotic and hectic lifestyle we lead in the Tampa Bay area. Homosassa, a mere 90-minute drive away, offered the perfect respite, feeling like a world apart from our day-to-day existence. As we pulled into the driveway of our river house, an indescribable tranquility washed over us, seemingly freezing time and slowing down the pace of everything around us. Our connection to Homosassa runs deep, with family that stays nearby, and our daughters have cherished numerous summers scalloping and fishing with their uncle.
