We are in Ormond by the Sea which has no buildings, condos, or hotels on the beach. Note, Ormond Beach cannot make this claim, because it has condos and hotels on the beach! Ok, they do have a Publix, so they have us beat on that, but thankfully that is only a 5–7-minute drive. Our beach is 100% natural. No concrete on our beach! Cross natural sand dunes for beach access. If hearing ocean waves is your thing, we've got the place for you. This is truly a hidden gem!
We are pet friendly on a case-by-case basis, but you have to send us your cutest pet photo as a condition of renting, and we will send you some virtual hugs. 25% of our bookings are pet stays. Each reservation we have a professional housekeeping and sanitization of the entire house by the area's best housekeeper (I'm a bit biased, but she's really good). There is no carpet in the house, only LPV and terrazzo flooring.
Our house is a 2 bedroom/2 full bath. 1 bedroom has a Master Closet and 1 bed, while the second bedroom has 2 main beds and a roll under trundle bed. The living room has a queen-sized sleeper sofa, for when Uncle Larry needs a place to crash after a few Bud Lights.
There is a work desk and high-speed internet WIFI from Spectrum in the house. We have hosted many remote workers using the Internet all day. IT professionals, stock traders, etc. We do require 1 stock tip if you are a trader.
TVs have Roku sticks, so they are "smart". Probably smarter than me!
The heated pool is 100% screened in, so the pool guy is really happy for his weekly cleaning. The hot tub is separated from the pool, so to keep it at 102 degrees for soaking the bones. The porch is my favorite spot of the house. I could relax there all day and listen to the bird's chirp. Occasionally, and quite randomly, a wild tortoise will visit (If you feed him lettuce, he might visit more). But he doesn't like dogs, so sorry if your dog might keep him away. Pick as many lemons as you want from the lemon tree, because when given lemons, make lemonade (I'm certain you won't have a "lemon" experience with the house).
Unlike many of the locals, our garage is not a "storage bin", so you CAN park a car in the garage.
Here's what makes our house different from the other homes in Ormond by the Seas, as you compare our house to others in Ormond by the Seas. We took the guesswork out of it, so you know before you buy! We beat the competition all around on quality, price, and comfort! (Sorry, competition, we are only going to beat you a little bit here.)
1) Our Master bedroom is not adjacent to the pool, like other properties are. (The scoop on that is some of the older homes have funky floor plans. Personally, it looks like a safety issue on those listings...can you sleep at night knowing someone could easily walk up to your bedroom from the pool?)
2) Our furniture and linens are not from a thrift store or from "Grandma's Closet". Look at other pictures to compare!
3) We are 2 blocks walk from Lagger Heads. Others are over a mile to nearby restaurants. The map does not lie!
4) We do not "bait and switch" renters on the electrical and utility bills. Read the fine print of other listings! They only cover a small portion of your electric bill. Be prepared to shell out thousands of dollars more in utilities to those landlords.
5) We allow pets! Other listings do not! Only 25% of our stays are pets, so we are not running a furry house. We pride ourselves on cleaning every square inch from every pet stay.
6) Make sure you look on the map. Some properties are right on or close to AIA, which might sound nice upfront, but lots of cars and noise, even at night. You will not get sleep if you're up on AIA.
7) We have the beachy decorations and vibe in the house, not the thrift store vibe like others.
8) We have no carpet. Others do! Check the bedroom photos! Carpet is not great for sand or pets. We even have some terrazzo for some funky vibes.
9) Our kitchen does not flow into our living room, like other properties do, so you have a good spacious flow to our house, with separation. Enjoy watching the evening news, while your spouse is cooking spaghetti. You didn't book a hotel, so you shouldn't feel like you're in one.
Here is what makes our house so wonderful and unique:
(1) Private Solar Heated Pool: (Never book an unheated pool, you might regret it...brrr !!!).
(2) Private Hot Tub for relaxing with Pina Coladas.
(3) Screened in porch for lounging, grilling, and chilling. (TV on porch too).
(4) 7 min walk to Ormond Beach (our street is a straight shot to beach, unlike others that require zig zagging). Cross sand dunes to access natural beach.
(5) Ormond Beach is pristine, no cars on beach, no buildings on beach, and uncrowded.
(6) Close to Tomaka Nature preserve for amazing kayaking, nature viewing (manatees, birds, fish), fishing.
(7) Take a bike ride along Ormond Beach or Flagler Beach art galleries, restaurants, or bars.
(8) Beautiful landscaping around house so you can feel the Zen.
(9) Nearby restaurants, bars, and shopping. You don't need to go far for great seafood or great bars with great drink specials.
(10) Plenty of space inside house living areas, kitchen, and bedrooms so you are not on top of each other.
(11) 15 min drive or cheap Uber to Daytona if you are needing to get your party on.
(12) Beachy decor throughout house that would make Jimmy Buffet proud.
(13) Lemon tree in back yard for fresh pickings.
(14) Ocean waves roaring at your front door.
(15) Quiet, low key, lazy day neighborhood.

Amazing Beach House with great Interior and Convenient Location
Wonderful place to stay. It was lovely. It was a 2 minute or so walk to the beach. The private heated pool was super nice, and the pool guy was on top of maintaining it for us every week. Very spacious and plenty of room, there 5 of us. Fully stocked with towels, dishes, linens. No complaints! We will definitely stay again!
