It also has a shuffleboard court, parking for your boat trailer and/or motorcycle, as well as racks to hold your kayak or canoe. A ramp takes you over the dunes and onto the gorgeous, white sand beach. Area shops rent surf boards, paddle boards, kayaks, go-carts and bikes to make your beach time even more memorable. On beach walks May through October, you might encounter a sea turtle laying her eggs or hatchlings making their way back to the ocean. And, you'll always run across ghost crabs scurrying along the sand in the evenings. Explore nearby Canaveral National Seashore Park (4 miles away), day-trip to Orlando's many theme parks, take in a NASCAR race or the Speedway museum in Daytona Beach, go deep-sea or surf fishing, shop the boutiques in historic New Smyrna Beach, or play golf at the excellent nearby courses: LPGA, New Smyrna Beach Municipal (Donald Ross), Sugar Mill (Robert Trent Jones) and Walkabout (Perry Dye).
