We accept monthly rental requests year-round. During some periods of the year we will accept weekly reservations. We do not charge additional fees.

House Rules:
Town quiet hours are 10pm-7am.
Maximum capacity, regardless of age, is 8 people.
There is no smoking/vaping on the property, inside or outside.
Pets are not permitted on the property or in the home.
There is parking for up to 3 cars in the driveway. No over-sized vehicles. ex. No RV's. Please, no cars in the garage.
A supervising adult must always be present in the fenced pool area when the area is in use. The door-open alarms from the ground floor to the pool area must not be altered. The pool gates must be latched when no one is passing through. Do not prop them open. There is no running, jumping, diving, horseplay in the pool or pool area. The pool was designed for cooling off and light family fun.
The home A/C should never be turned below 70 degrees F and the heat should never be raised higher than 74 degrees. F. All windows have to be shut when either heating or cooling is in use.
Guests are responsible for removing trash and recycling from the home to the outside cans as necessary. They are also responsible for moving the outside cans to the curb for weekly pickup.
Maintenance/Service people will be visiting the home and must be allowed to accomplish what they came for. This includes weekly pool service, occasional pest control and yard maintenance.
The guest should notify the owner immediately of any maintenance problems so that appropriate assistance can be scheduled.
Paper supplies and soaps are provided as a starter for your stay. You may have to replenish these items during your stay.
Check-out requirements:
1. Please move all used towels and linens to laundry room. This process often helps our guests avoid leaving belongings when they depart.
2. Bring all trash and recycling to outside cans. Flimsy plastic bags and trash bags should not be put in the recycling can.
3. Please close all shades and blinds to keep our utility costs down.
4. Please ensure all exterior doors are closed and locked before departure.
Process to complete the reservation process:
You will receive an email instructing you to digitally sign our rental agreement. You must sign this agreement within 24 hours of acceptance on this platform. The person signing must be 30 years old or older and must be present for the entire reservation period. The signer must ensure that all in the maximum 8-person party are aware of the house rules. Violations of any rule may lead to immediate eviction without refund for days remaining on reservation.

Our Gulf Island Drive home is just a 3-4 minute walk to the sugary soft white sandy beach. We provide you with the beach cart, chairs and umbrella to have the perfect beach visit. You can also walk to the other end of the street in 4-5 minutes and be at our neighborhood bayside park with dock and tiki. Sitting on the dock and watching for dolphins and manatees is a real treat!

The beach and the bay are quick and easy walks from Gulf Island Drive home. In a 15 minute stroll you can be at our local Publix. And behind the grocery store you'll find Junkanoo Below Deck and Fresh Catch Bistro restaurants directly on the bay.
Favorite Places To Eat
There are so many favorite restaurants in the area. On the bay in town, you'll enjoy Snug Harbor and Nervous Nellies. On Old San Carlos Blvd, you'll want to stop by the Yucatan. If you're craving pizza, don't miss Bella Mozzarella in Times Square. Cross the Matanzas Pass bridge and you'll find Doc Ford's and The Parrot Key, both with wonderful bay views.
You can easily walk to bayside favorites Junkanoo and Fresh Catch Bistro which is just 1/2 mile away and located behind Publix grocery store.

About the host: Susan and Andy also live in Fort Myers Beach. We love the sunshine, walks on the beach, watching wildlife as well as easy walking and biking distance to restaurants, entertainment and recreation. As you can imagine, we often have family and friends visiting us!
Why this property? We chose our Gulf Island Drive home because it offered lots of comfortable space in a community that has its own beach access and bayside park. Plus it's conveniently located just a half mile from the island Publix grocery store and a couple favorite restaurants. Plus it's a quick bike ride to Times Square, the heart of Fort Myers Beach.

Is this house easily accessible?
To access the home, you will have to use the exterior staircase.
Any Rules?
There is NO smoking on the property. Pets are NOT allowed. An adult must be within the pool gated area and supervising any time the pool area has someone there. The door pool alarms into the ground level spaces may not be disengaged. There may be service personnel at the property on occasion. It's expected that they will be permitted to complete their work at the property. This includes weekly pool cleaning and on occasion pest control and yard service.
During your stay, it's expected that you will empty recycling and trash as needed to the larger cans used by the pick-up service. These bigger cans need to be brought by the guest to the roadside the night before pick-up and then brought back to the garage after pick-up.
Prior to departure, guests are expected to ensure the home is broom-clean - i.e. No dirty dishes, all used linens and towels are brought to laundry room, floors are broom clean, trash and recycling are moved to the outdoor containers.
Do you offer any recreational items?
We provide a beach wagon, 4 beach chairs, beach towels and two beach umbrellas. There's a small selection of beach toys too. There are at least 2 ping pong paddles and several balls to use with the ping pong table in the garage. The beach is just a 3 or 4 minute walk away. The bay is a 4 or 5 minute walk away.
You are welcome to bring your own bicycles. You can also rent some nearby. There's plenty of space to store them in the garage.
