This 100 foot lot gulf-front home (built in 2015) is perfect for friends and families (and dog lovers), who want to get away and relax in the quiet, perfect and peaceful area of Cape San Blas. Located in the coveted northern end of the cape, you will wake up every morning just steps away from one of the most beautiful, white sand beaches on the planet.
Serendipity Sunsets is a sister location to 4Sunsets (VRBO listing 562575), located just two miles up the beach. Please see our more than 50 5-star reviews.
Enjoy your morning coffee or late afternoon beverage from our gulf-front deck, complete with screened-in porch, breakfast bar, and latching deck gate (to keep little ones and dogs from roaming down to the beach without you).
A great beach house has to have a spacious living area, and we created one with spectacular views from all around, not to mention plenty of room to hang out, play games, dine in, or just relax and watch a good movie. It has a beautiful fireplace, big screen TV, DVD player, bluetooth sound bar speaker, and dining room table for 6 with additional seating for four more at the kitchen counter.
The kitchen is a chef’s dream, equipped with brand new (April 2023) stainless steel appliances (the dishwasher is super quiet), an island for extra counter space, and everything you’ll need for cooks of every level. The grill master in your family will appreciate the Weber grill (connected to our propane tank so you never have to worry about running out of gas), outdoor grilling area, and dining table that seats six so you have plenty of places to eat and enjoy.
Serendipity Sunsets comfortably sleeps up to 8-9 vacationers with top-quality mattresses to help ensure you wake up rested and ready to enjoy the day. We have three bedrooms, each one special and spacious in its own way. The master suite known as “Meadow” yes, we name our bedrooms) has a king size bed, spa-quality shower, and a stunning view that won’t disappoint. Our second king-sized bedroom ("Regatta") also has it's own private bathroom and television. The kids’ suite, “Eagle Harbor,” comes complete with a full size bed under a twin bunk with a twin trundle and two adult bean bag chairs that become full size sleeping spots if needed. A third bean bag chair made just for little ones is close by. 'Eagle Harbor' bedroom has been tested and approved by our kids so it’s sure to be a hit with yours. Wall-mounted TV and blu-ray dvd player for movie nights!
Two more, fully-enclosed outside showers for those who like to be one with nature after a run, bike or time on the beach.
We have a tankless water heater to conserve energy and provide plenty of hot water.
Serendipity Sunsets has deeded bay access so you can enjoy swimming, boating, and fishing in St. Joe's Bay, as well as, the Gulf of Mexico.
Elevator and single level floor plan make Serendipity Sunsets a perfect fit for snow birds. Please contact us to discuss off-season rates that work within your budget.
In the end, we hope Serendipity Sunsets will provide a clean, peaceful oasis where you can get away, relax and have fun with your friends and family without a care in the world.
Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. No matter where you choose to spend your vacation, we hope you have an unforgettable time. After all, you can’t go wrong on the cape!
Area Information
Connected to the Florida peninsula by a sliver of land, Cape San Blas is home to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, named the best beach in America (2002) by Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman (a.k.a. Dr. Beach). Cape San Blas, located near Port St. Joe along the Florida Panhandle’s Emerald Coast, is truly a vacation paradise. Here, you’ll find miles of uncrowded, pristine, white sand beaches. Among the other attractions: Pet-friendly vacation rentals, fishing, kayaking and boating, family-owned restaurants serving fresh Florida seafood, and the famed Cape San Blas lighthouse. Frequently rebuilt and relocated in response to eroding seas, the 101-foot-tall, 131-step lighthouse and two accompanying buildings may be moved to Port St. Joe. But you still can see the top of the tower from Cape San Blas Road and inventive visitors who don't mind walking a mile or so along the beach can get a good look.
One of our favorite places to visit just 30 minutes south:
If you’re in Apalachicola, you’re among friends. In fact, this small coastal city at the mouth of the Apalachicola River is actually named after an Indian word meaning “land of friendly people.” Here you’ll catch a glimpse into old Florida’s maritime history in its bustling seafood houses, weather-worn shrimp boats and stately brick buildings that once served as 19th century chandleries, net factories and warehouses. The town has managed to retain its rusty crusty charm and embrace a new hip persona in the form of upscale restaurants, eclectic boutiques, galleries and a growing number of music venues that tuck themselves into the brick and tin-roofed warehouses that dominate the downtown district.

About the host: It all started when 4 friends from college brought their 4 sons to visit grandparents in Mexico Beach and needed a place to stay with their family dog. Cape San Blas was the closest spot and we all fell in love with the beauty and peacefulness of The Forgotten Coast. A few years later after another visit we started to talk seriously about making a dream a reality. Just a few years later, 4Sunsets (VRBO property 562575) became a reality and now with 2 of those sons in college, it's our genuine pleasure to share Serendipity Sunsets (VRBO 1201308), one of the most peaceful and beautiful places (in our opinion) on earth with you.
Why this property? It's perfect--inside and out. White sand, shells, refreshing Gulf of Mexico, dolphins, sea turtles, no crowds, state park access…and saving the best for last, magical sunsets that are different each night. Enjoy quiet time with family and friends, play and relax on the beach and create and enjoy scrumptious meals together (and if you're in the mood to go out---so many delicious places to choose from--we are happy to share our favorites in Port St. Joe, Indian Pass and Apalachicola!).

Heaven!
A lovely and very comfortable house with spectacular views. The beach was very private and beautiful. Our first time to Cape San Blas but not our last. We were so grateful to be able to take our dogs with us. Thank you to the very gracious hosts who were very available and helpful when we needed them!

The location is awesome and the beach house is lovely
This is a great family / dog friendly home. Everything you need is in the home from a griddle to prepare french toast to the elevator making loading things very easy. The beach is right there with amazing sunsets and the stars so peaceful.

Beautiful Home in an Amazing Setting
We had a perfect stay here with our two fur babies! The location is convenient to everything on the Cape and you can't beat having the beach right in your backyard. We made good use of the back deck and nice screened in porch. The home is very nicely furnished/equipped. The owner was extremely easy to work with. We will definitely be back soon!

Does not get much better than this.
Completely attentive and responsive owners. Accepts pets. Everything in tip top condition. No house on one vacant lot beside. No running up and down stairs as entire house is on one level. Well kept and maintained. Everything works, appliances, air conditioning, etc. Will be back for a much longer stay next year as in 6 years at Cape San Blas this is the best 3 bedroom with elevator we have found to date.

A sunset lovers dream
This house faces west and provides the most spectacular sunsets seen anywhere. A fabulous kitchen dining area that is equipped for cooks. Great gas range and spacious counter areas. Living area suited for very comfortable visiting. The screened porch is a terrific addition, especially when bugs are around. Bedrooms and baths well finished and very comfortable. The elevator is a helpful addition. Makes loading things to the second level very easy. To summarize this is a very special rental property.
