About this rental
4Sunsets has 4 Bedrooms, 4.5 bath, 2 outdoor showers, optional Tandem Kayak/2 SUPs & breathtaking views from 4 different decks.
Thank you for considering 4Sunsets for your vacation. We love it and we know that you will, too. We tried to make it perfect for you in every way.
Of course, that starts with the location. Steps away from one of the most beautiful, white sand beaches on the planet, this brand new (finished in 2014) kid- and dog-friendly beach house is located in the quiet and peaceful area of Secluded Dunes, parallel to St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park with a rare view to Eagle Harbor.
If you like amazing views, there are lots of ways to catch them. Enjoy your morning coffee or late afternoon beverage watching the sunrise or sunset from one of four decks, complete with screened-in porch, breakfast bar and latching deck gate (to keep little ones and dogs from roaming down to the beach without you).
A great beach house has to have a spacious living area, and we created one with plenty of room to hang out, play games, dine in, or just relax and watch a good movie. It has a beautiful fireplace, LOVESAC sofa and chairs, big screen SMART TV, bluetooth speaker, wet bar and dining room table for 8 with seating for 4 more at the granite breakfast bar.
The kitchen is equipped with brand new stainless steel appliances (the dishwasher is super quiet), granite counter tops, an island for extra counter space and everything you’ll need for cooks of every level. Not to mention the outdoor Weber grill (connected to our propane tank so you never have to worry about running out) as well.
4Sunsets comfortably sleeps up to 13 vacationers with top-quality mattresses to help ensure you wake up rested and ready to enjoy the day. We have four bedrooms, each one special and spacious in its own way. There is a master suite on the main level (Garden Square) with a bay-side deck where you can see the sunrise over the state park. The two gulf front suites (Lia and Sunflower) on the second level have stunning views that won't disappoint. All three of those bedrooms have King beds. The kids’ suite (full size bunkbeds and twin loft, full sofabed facing a big screen TV and DVD player for movie nights) has been tested and approved by our kids so it’s sure to be a hit with yours.
And we didn’t mess around with the showers, which are exquisite. You’ll particularly like the double shower in Sunflower (check out the picture) but they’re all pretty cool and spa-inspired. And there are two more, fully enclosed outside showers for those of us who like to be one with nature after a run, bike or time on the beach. They all have tankless water heaters to conserve energy and provide plenty of hot water right away.
In the end, we built 4Sunsets with one thing in mind: we wanted to create a clean, peaceful oasis where you can get away, relax and have fun with your friends and family without a care in the world.

Local Information...
'With 10 miles of sugar white sand, this park is one of the top rated beaches in the United States rated #1 by Dr. Beach in 2002 . Sunbathing, shelling, snorkeling, swimming, bicycling and fishing are popular activities. A boat ramp which accommodates most trailered vessels is located at Eagle Harbor. Some of the highest dunes in the nation are found here as well as some of the last remaining habitat of coastal sand pine scrub. St Joseph Peninsula State Park has an abundance of wildlife and provides excellent opportunities for bird watching and wildlife viewing. The park is extremely popular during scallop season (July 1 - Labor Day weekend).'

Additional recommendations from a vacationer who has been visiting CSB since the '60s:
I think I recall you mentioning a couple spots in Apalachicola for eating and just thought I would add our favorite in case you have not yet discovered it your self. The Grill of course is the original one and only on the corner by the light with bar none other best grouper sandwich in the panhandle. It has there forty years ago and Peter Fonda and the movie crew of Ulee's Gold which was made down there were regular customers. LOL it was the only choice actually for years. His 'Gold' was the famous Tupelo Honey gathered along the Appalach River. Best honey ever harvested and we still order it from locals by the gallon.
Our other favorite is Tamara's. It was originally located on one of the back streets but about five or so years ago she moved to the main street on the opposite side from the Grill and down the street a ways so not directly opposite The Grill. The Owl is okay but we really like Tamara's best.
Unique Benefits
Elevator installed June 2024.
Area Information
It's perfect. White sand, refreshing Gulf of Mexico, dolphins, sea turtles, no crowds, state park access…and saving the best for last, magical sunsets that are different each night.
We know what it's like to travel with kids and meet up with friends for a long week at the beach. We tried to make 4Sunsets clean, comfortable, homey yet uncluttered with spots for people to hang out together but also spots to get away for some privacy and quiet time. There's also a tandem kayak and 2 Stand Up Paddle Boards available to rent if you're interested.

Perfect
This was a fantastic rental. Very short walk right to the quiet beach from the back porch. Very clean, well stocked kitchen for cooking. Spacious rooms and lots of bathrooms. Plenty of parking. Zero complaints or issues. We had a great time.

Better than the pictures
The pictures don’t do it justice! This was beautifully decorated and the view was spectacular. The living room/kitchen/dining combination was really large and had plenty of seating. Loved the big blue couch! The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, crock pot, grill, 3 different coffee machines, etc… There’s a screened in area on one half of the main living level so you can leave the sliding door open and hear and feel the breeze without worrying about bugs. The view of the beach and gulf is completely unobstructed! The sunsets were gorgeous. Two bedrooms and the main living area are on the beach side with all having decks. All 4 bedrooms have attached bathrooms with an extra half bath in the main living area. All this plus a gas fireplace!!! It’s pretty chilly in February and having the opportunity to sit in the living room, in front of the fireplace, and look at the beach with the waves was a special moment for us. We didn’t eat on Cape San Blas, but there are great restaurants in Appalachicola and St. George Island. (The Station, Blue Parrot) The bathrooms are all updated and really nice. You felt like you were on vacation. The beds were super comfortable, too.

great house
we've stayed for 8 years on the Cape and this house is by far in the best location. 7 houses from the State Park in a gated community. All single houses (no condos) so we only had ONE other family on the entire beach with us the whole week! the house itself is wonderful. Perfect for the 5 adults and one dog. Clean, nicely furnished and great kitchen for my 'chef' daughter to cook. I love the outdoor showers. Beware however if you have older adults staying.... lots of stairs as is the case in all the houses on the Cape unless you get a house with elevators. nice to see the Cape recovering after the devastation from hurricane last year. thanks Alissa for letting us share your house
