Tropical beach getaway at Sandy's Siesta Key Condo

Perfect!!! Can't wait to go back. 5 of 5 stars We loved our stay at Sandy's. The condo has everything you need and more - loads of beach towels, beach toys, umbrella etc, great kitchen, and loved the open plan to the large living area. The location is great too - not beach front but only a minute or two's walk, and very picturesque and private with marina views out the back. Sandy is a pleasure to rent from - everything clear and easy, very helpful and quick to respond to queries etc. Very pleased with our choice and can't wait to go back!! Perfect Time, Perfect Beach, Perfect Home Away from Home 5 of 5 My wife and I stayed here for a lovely week while on our 'Babymoon'. We had never stayed on the Bayside and this was our first time staying in Midnight Cove. The beach was great and the attendant was very helpful. Sandy was extremely helpful in answering all our doubts and questions and was a great joy to work with and a great host. The remodeled condo is beautiful and we felt very relaxed. My wife and I flew down from Cincinnati and didn't have a lot of room to back board games, dvds, or playing cards. I would suggest packing some if you are like us and enjoy a good game or two. Kathy R. Wisconsin Heaven on Earth 5 of 5 My husband and I rented this condo for the first time this past Christmas. It was exactly as the pictures portrayed it on the website. Beautiful! The beach was clean with soft, sugar sand. The location was excellent. We could walk to the beach, restaurants, shopping, etc. The Village of Siesta Key was fun, clean, and upscale. Having WiFi was great also. I am short, so a little step stool to reach higher cabinets would be good to have. Having rights to chairs and umbrella on the beach was great. The condo is spacious, well appointed, decorated beautifully...all making our stay feel like we were at home. Love the ground level, and the covered parking 15 steps from the front door. We really enjoyed the bay side property of Midnight Cove. Also spacious, quiet, nicely landscaped, with abundant, beautiful views of its own...the canal and garden view from the condo, the little harbor dock, the bay...all very nice. Loved having a little yard for the kids to run around in (quietly of course). The walk to the beach was manageable. For those traveling with a bunch of beach stuff I recommend having some one park across the street in the morning (in a non-numbered spot) with all of your gear in the car. While there, reserve some beach chairs/umbrella. Walk back to the room and have your coffee....returning when your ready. Pack everybody up in the car when you are done with the beach...more efficient than waiting for an elevator at other places directly on the beach. Nancy Decatur, IL Wonderful Place, Everything As Described And More 5 of 5 When you walk in, you will be amazed. This place is tastefully done, spotlessly clean and has some wonderful furnishings. They provide a hair dryer, great selection of pillows, nice linens, magazines, books, loads of beach towels, fishing poles (although one of the reels was broken because people are not cleaning the salt water out of them.) They even thought of a magnifying make-up mirror! Lamps are in just the right places, DVD player, even a printer (although there is a cable missing we think), a beach trolley and beach toys for the kids. If you plan to eat there you will need paper towels, a couple of garbage bags, coffee, filters, some foil, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent and your food. I left foil, paper towels, detergents, etc., but I am told they will be removed. The washer and dryer are the best I've ever used and the rules say you must wash everything up before you leave (except for the sheets and towels you had that morning), so you would need laundry detergent. All the bath towels are white, so I bought bleach too. The king bed was really comfortable (we didn't use the twins.) Your hosts have thought of everything. The only thing we found a bit disappointing was a tiny lanai - not big enough for a table - but....they didn't say they had one either! Beach chairs and umbrellas provided at the beach. Oh - and if you need to print boarding passes in the office, they charge 50 cents for a sheet of paper!! We thought that was terribly overpriced. Take a few sheets. Next time, we will take a ream. We had a wonderful time in a place that just felt like home. Very nice and very comfy. Sandy (owner) is extremely friendly and very helpful. You will LOVE your experience here and we will be back in March!!! Anonymous Columbus, Ohio Well Maintained and one of the nicest place we have stayed at! 5 of 5 We were very impressed with the Complex and the Condo! CLEAN and WELL MAINTAINED! The main room is very roomy! We had zero issues. The thing that we liked the most was that the unit was managed by the Condo complex itself, which was comforting to us. The beach was wonderful. It was very nice to be able to cross the street and go directly to it via the beach side of Midnight Cove. The sand is so soft and gorgeous. We will definitely be back to the area. Not much commercialism in regards to many restaurants. There are some towards Siesta Beach itself, but not a lot. Bring your own trahs bags, which it is stated in the lease agreement. TJ Statesville, North Carolina 6/15/2013 vacation 5 of 5 Our first family trip to Siesta Key. Family of 4 with kids 14 and 10. We had our best vacation ever. The beach is stunning. Our room was as we expected from pictures. All appliances updated. Plenty of space with well stocked kitchen. I slept better here then in my own bed. Very comfortable. Property was well maintained and clean. I would recommend to friends or family for place to stay. We visited family in the area and two trips to Orlando. We do plan to return. Sarah G. Ohio Perfect home away from home 5 of 5 The place was awesome! It was super clean, comfy, modern, and a 5 min walk to the beach as well as a grocery store, shops, and a bike/boat rental. This was our first stay in a vacation home rather than a hotel, and we've heard about other vacation condos not coming with necessities such as trash bags and such, but this isn't one of those places! I am pretty sure Sandy provided everything except for our food! The kitchen is a little small but very equipped and functional, oh and gorgeous! All stainless Kitchenaid appliances and every utensil known to man. I even had to check the dishwasher twice to make sure it was running because it was so quiet. Propane grills (Weber and Charbroil) are right outside the door so you can cook and watch for sea creatures in the inlet. The sliding glass doors that opened to the screened in lanai were really nice. We didnt open them too often due go the heat, but the view was cool and they let in so much light. It rained daily but only enough to cool it off, so we did appreciate having the cable tv and the comfy couches. We even played tennis for the first time together, which was really fun! The private access to the beach was awesome. You do have to cross the road but there is even a crosswalk that immediately stops traffic, which no one seems to mind. The attendant greeted us and gave us chairs and set up our umbrellas. We rode bikes up and down the beach and I am pretty sure the area for Midnight Cove was the cleanest and most desirable. We seen dolphins far out, but the last two days we were there, there were 8-10 manta rays swimming all around us (literally less than a foot away). At first everyone was a little uneasy thinking they were stingrays and possibly dangerous, but they weren't, so it was really cool. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was super nice. We are from Ohio (and so are a out 50% of the people that vacation in Siesta Key) and all we could talk about was how unbelievably nice everyone was. People seem genuinely happy and not just the ones on vacation. We are really considering moving down there since we left. In addition to everything else, Sandy was awesome! She answered all my questions before and after booking very quickly. I believe she was genuinely happy to share her place with us and not just to get it rented. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks again for opening your (vacation) home to us for our anniversary. Jazzyme Union, Ohio Awesome vacation getaway! 5 of 5 This condo is fabulous! It's very clean and nicely decorated, with lots of extras. The kitchen is great with all Kitchenaid appliances, and new front loader washer and dryer for use as well. There is even a really nice blow dryer that has attachments in the bathroom for the ladies. It is just a short walk to the gorgeous beach where a nice young man helps you with your chairs & umbrella set up when you want to relax a while and let life go by. There are lots of places close-by to eat, drink, and a Publix market for anything else you need a short drive away. We especially enjoyed Siesta Key village down aabout 2 miles, lots of good eateries and live music and outdoor seating in many places. We were so spoiled, it's quiet and peaceful there at the complex, too. The office folks were super-nice too. Sandy was great! She provided all that we needed to celebrate our 2 year wedding annivesary in style! We feel like Sandy is our friend, and she was so very helpful whenever we had questions or needed something. We had such a wonderful time, and would definitely come back to Siesta Key and stay here. Very positive experience, and I am so glad we found this place. All brand new inside! And best part.....a top of the line washer and dryer in the unit, instead of walking up to the laundry mat. This place was well decorated and thought out! Next, take a walk across a small two lane road and there is a private beach for the condo owners and their guests only. Ever walked in powdered sugar? That's what the sand feels like...and not hot on the feet! There is a beach guy named Ian who greets you with a smile and brings out chairs and umbrellas for you!! He also has kayak's and other beach toys! Restaurants have great food and the people in this town are very nice. This made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. The sunsets on the beach are fabulous.....like a picture. We will definitely be back next year! If I could give this 10 stars.....I would! Anonymous Dublin, OH Great Vacation 4 of 5 The condo is really nice. It has lots of room, is well decorated and maintained, and the grounds are great. In addition the staff on property and beach attendant are great. It is great to arrive at beach and have Ian set up your chairs and umbrella. It was a little farther to beach than I thought, but only about a five minute walk. Also, be aware this is a very quiet property. A loud group would be out of place. Siesta Key Beach is awesome! Kym L. Bangor, Maine Awesome vacation! 5 of 5 This condo is beautifully decorated, and has all the features of being at home. The beach is a short walk across a road and through a couple gates, and once you're there, Ian the beach attendant will get you set up with beach chairs and an umbrella. The sand is amazingly soft like baby powder and the water is crystal clear and shallow. There's no undertow or big waves, so we didn't really have to fret constantly about our children's safety. The Midnight Cove complex is very well maintained and has a great new fitness room and 2 great pools. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock in front of the condo. We met many families who have been renting condo's there yearly for upwards of 20 years. One of the most important factors that made our trip so great was the incredible support and accessibility that the owner Sandy, afforded to us. She responded quickly to all of my texts, (and I texted often) and was always offering advice on places to go and sites to see. We are looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend this condo!! jason l. 2015 family holiday 5 of 5 my family vacation started on oct 23rd 2015 and sadly finished 4th november, we have been staying in siesta key now for over 25 years and this was the first time at sandys siesta and def will not be the last, sandy right from the start made this very easy indeed and was a1 in her communication bearing in mind we are in the uk, it was the first time my children had been to florida and we spent the first ten days in orlando before moving on to sandys place. we will be going back in 2017 and will not be doing the parks as my children much preferred siesta key and sandys condo, the condo is in fantastic condition throughout and kept very well indeed, if anyone wants some sort of advice about going to this condo it most def has our approval as we have stayed in many in siesta key and none are even in the same hemispere as sandys condo its just a shame it had to end. just a little end note from my children loved it loved it loved it lollllllllllllll Submitted: Jan 5, 2016 Stayed: Oct 2015 Source: VRBO, from HomeAway Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words! Tracy M. Cincy Great Trip! 5 of 5 We had a great time at this condo for our summer trip. It was hot in July but the beautiful white sand was never hot, and Ian giving us umbrellas and chairs was amazing to be able to sit in the shade as the kids played. This condo was great and had everything we could need. They thought of everything. The beach cart with rafts, noodles, coolers etc was awesome for the walk to the beach. Beach towels, games, fishing poles and even tennis racquets. The pool and bay were beautiful. Lots of nice restaurants to drive to in Siesta Village. Parking was a little tough but we just went early. Siesta key is great location as well for visiting lots of other beaches within driving distance. Loved Myakka state park where we hiked and saw gators. Mixon fruit farm was so cute - animals you can touch and great juice! I would absolutely recommend this place! Joseph S. A Great Escape 5 of 5 How's this for a review? We booked this perfect home for next year already! That will make it 3 years in a row for a spring break. This beautiful, immaculately kept condo is everything a family of four needs for a stay at the beach. Not a fan of sand? The gated community's pool & clubhouse is the answer! The owner is quick to respond when a question arises or a need presents itself. Modern appliances, including washer & dryer, allow for it all feeling like home away from home. The location is quiet as it isn't right on the beach. It's a short 2 minute walk. The owner had lots of towels, there is a cooler to transport tropical drinks to the beach as well as a cart to ease that transportation. The Sniki Tiki Bar & Capt Curts Grill are a 3 minute walk away. The village of Siesta is a short drive or free shuttle ride down the "strip". Full disclosure, I'm not a beach guy, and I LOVE it here!! Katie H. Greenville, SC Fabulous Stay at Sandy's Siesta Condo! 5 of 5 We just came back from a fabulous week at Sandy's condo! We stayed at Midnight Cove on the ocean side before, but we honestly prefer the Bayside! The walk is super easy along the sidewalk path, and Sandy provides a beach cart (lifesaver, I MUST get one) so we could haul our cooler, sunscreen, towels, and the million beach toys my daughters required (also provided WITH the condo, thank you!). We had our 4 year old daughter with us who announced "this is my most favorist condo ever" when we walked in. We were also able to fish off the docks at the bayside which was so fun! We did not catch a fish but saw plenty jumping out of the water! The pool on the Bayside is also less crowded, which helped our 4 daughter who has just learned to swim. The condo was stocked with everything we needed to cook, had extra laundry and cooking supplies, and the outside gas grills just steps away were awesome! We grilled a red snapper one night and it was amazing. You have a covered parking spot for the condo, but there is also another one right next to the front door you can back in to load and unload your luggage, so easy! Another plus? Sandy was so nice and easy to work with. The condo had all the information we needed to use the Siesta free ride and had info on all the stuff we could do on the island. The condo is decorated so cute, I just loved it! Everything is updated. The wifi and tvs were also top notch. We spent most of our time on the beach and the pool, but we did enjoy relaxing at night in the condo! The beach was amazing, and Ian (we love him) and the other beach attendants set up chairs and umbrellas for you. So nice!! The washer and dryer were also amazing to have. Such a help when you have a small child! Overall, we said this will be THE condo we come back to when we visit Siesta Key. Thank you Sandy for letting us stay in your slice of heaven on earth! Perfect!!! Can't wait to go back. 5 of 5 stars We loved our stay at Sandy's. The condo has everything you need and more - loads of beach towels, beach toys, umbrella etc, great kitchen, and loved the open plan to the large living area. The location is great too - not beach front but only a minute or two's walk, and very picturesque and private with marina views out the back. Sandy is a pleasure to rent from - everything clear and easy, very helpful and quick to respond to queries etc. Very pleased with our choice and can't wait to go back!!
