Area Information
The Crescent Pearl resides in a exclusive gated community of six homes. There is a large private pool and spa that is adjacent to the Pearl. We overlook some of the finest beaches in Florida on Cape San Blas, preserved in their natural state. This small, remote location was hidden from developers for years, long enough for the federal govt to preserve most of the Cape as breeding grounds for endangered sea turtles, ensuring the beaches will retain its natural, pristine setting forever.
The area around the Pearl includes Port St Joe, Apalachicola, and St George Island, known as the "Forgotten Coast." The area is sparsely developed and populated, far from the crowded beaches, sovenir shops, and mania of Destin and the "Redneck Riveria." Perfect for families and groups seeking a quieter, more serene experience, the Crescent Pearl is the perfect place to slow down, relax, and unwind from the fast pace of our daily lives. Come, relax, and enjoy the friendly people, the wonderful beaches, excellent food, and warm, clean Florida water. You will be glad you did.
Favorite Places To Eat
Too many to name, but just a few are the Indian Pass Raw Bar, Provisions, Peppers Mexican Grill, Shipwreck, Joe Mama's Pizza, Krazyfish, Skully's Low Country Boil, Uptown Raw Bar in Port St Joe. Apalachicola features Up the Creek Raw Bar, Hole in the Wall Seafood, The Station, Half Shell Dockside, Owl Cafe, Apalachicola Seafood Grill, and The Owl Tap Room, plus the Oyster City Brewery for excellent local brews.
Inside Scoop
Wonderful location for relaxing with family without the crowds or distractions of Destin. Known as the "Forgotten Coast", the Cape still affords a quiet, relaxing beach vacation. If you are looking to reconnect with your loved ones, this is the perfect place.

About the host: Originally from Louisiana, our family now resides in Atlanta, GA. As Southerners, we love to entertain and open our home to share good food, fine wine, and the excellent company of friends and family. We purchased our first vacation home in Hilton Head a half-dozen years ago, because we loved the area, which was perfect for our young family. One villa became two, then three. A few years back, we sold a property we owned in New Orleans and bought this home in Cape San Blas, which we named the Crescent Pearl. It is a magnificent home, the last home of renowned local builder, Charles House, who used his skills to enhance the views by building a home with walls of windows facing the water and beaches. It is the perfect house for families to gather, relax, and reconnect. It is a wonderful home and the ambience is incredible. We are very fortunate to have the Pearl, and it gives us tremendous pleasure to share our good fortune with others. Come, enjoy, please be our guest.
Why this property? The Crescent Pearl was built as a Forever Home - not a second home at the beach, or a vacation rental. The Pearl is on entire other level - the quality of the materials and construction are much higher than typicals beach homes, and so much larger and spacious than typical beach homes, just no comparison.
The Crescent Pearl is jusIt a beautiful, luxury beach home, and one of the finer homes on the Cape. This is anything but your typical "box at the beach." This is a large, elegant, finely crafted and appointed home for guests that are seeking a high quality experience and memories for a lifetime. The architect and builder did a remarkable job crafting a home that enhanced the views of Florida's emerald green waters and white sands. Four screened porches allow guests to sit in comfort, bug-free, any time of the day, enjoying the soft seabreezes. Hear the surf and smell the fresh, salt air from the comfort of the patios.
The setting is spectacular - the Crescent Pearl sits high atop a dune overlooking the pristine beaches of Cape San Blas, one of Florida's finest beaches. Known as the "Forgotten Coast," this area is sparsely developed and appeals to guests seeking a quieter, more natural setting and ambience. Much of the area is federally preserved as breeding grounds for endangered sea turtles, ensuring the natural state of the area will remain intact forever.
If you seek the experience of a lifetime on one of the finest beaches anywhere, we'd love to share our home.

Perfect choice
This home is excellent if you enjoy luxury. The rooms are so well equipped and comfy. Very clean and comfortable. We loved the screened lanai’s (3) which were quite large and had plenty of chairs to sit in. We had the pool to ourselves the whole time which was fantastic. TVs in all bedrooms plus the main living area. The kitchen has filtered water for drinking which is great and eliminated bottled water waste. We utilized the garage for parking which kept the car out of the hot sun. Highlight was the nearby state park at the tip of the cape with its crystal blue water. And Salinas park, which you can walk to from the house, has several boardwalks to enjoy.

Great Family Vacation Home
What a fantastic place to bring your family for a beach vacation! Lovely home, very short walk to the beach and a nice pool. The gated neighborhood was very quiet and we had the pool to ourselves all week. The home had great accommodations for children. The kitchen was well stocked with every possible cooking utensil you could want, including plates and utensils for little children. The Gearheards were easy to communicate with and it was a pleasure to rent their home for the week.I recommend this home to everyone for a very relaxing vacation week

Paradise in the time of covid!
Absolutely loved this beautiful home that was a quiet retreat. Steps to the beach, which we had virtually to ourselves, making it the perfect getaway in the time of Covid. The house is spacious and well-appointed, lots of thoughtful touches like screened in porches on every level and off ever room mean good nighttime star-gazing without being bitten. The amenities insured all we had to bring was ourselves, some groceries, and our bathing suits, the owners thought of everything else. You can tell a lot of love & thought have gone into the furnishing and outfitting of this place. We will totally look to return to this home away from home.

Such a pleasure to have someone enjoy our home and the Cape as we do. Glad you found everything to your liking. My wife put much thought into furnishings and decor of the Pearl, so your appreciation means quite a lot. Thank you for your stay and the generous review. It was a pleasure to have you as our guests.
Awesome Gulf Views From The Master Bedroom Of This Home!
This is absolutely the best location on CSB, located in a quiet wooded setting, with screened porches that allowed us to enjoy views of the Gulf as well as of St Joseph Bay. We enjoyed the great room with its beautiful furnishings, and the kitchen which had everything we needed to prepare meals. The layout of this home is perfect for any group, but for us, we found that the bedroom arrangement was just what we needed to give the kids the space they needed, their grandparents their space in the en suite bedroom on the next level, and for us to enjoy the beautiful views of the Gulf from the master bedroom. At night, we left the doors leading to the patio from the bedroom open, and enjoyed the sounds of the waves breaking on the shore. An absolutely amazing home which we would recommend to anyone.
