A well maintained garden and roomy outdoor patio is perfect for your morning cup of coffee, cocktails before going out to an Old Town restaurant or cooking up a casual supper on the garden propane grill in your own private paradise!
One designated parking space with custom carport is located directly at the garden gate for maximum convenience with unloading of baggage and groceries.

Lofty twelve foot ceilings, classic central staircase and antique exposed brick walls all contribute to a sense of grandeur and comfort - You will instantly feel the authentic vibe of Old Town Key West!
The living room has a flat screen TV and a DVD player. There is surround sound for listening to relaxing music provided by the two high quality speakers attached to the ceiling - great acoustics!
The kitchen is fresh, bright and fully equipped with everything you will need to practice your culinary talents.
There is a bar area that sits 3 people for cocktails to keep the chef entertained. Margarita glasses are housed in the cupboard over the stove.
The main floor also has a separate laundry room with full size washer and dryer and stores beach towels for guests to use at the pool or beach.
An ironing board and iron are stored in the each upstairs bedroom closet, in case you want to take in a play at the local Red Barn Theater. Blow dryers and curling irons are in the both upstairs bathrooms.
There is a convenient main floor 2 piece powder room located beside the laundry room.
This is one of only two existing Foundry homes that has a center hall plan, over sized garden/patio with the ability to use a grill.
This home is a 2 level dwelling - most other units have 3 levels and propane grills are not permitted.
'Island Queen' is the only end unit with this unique wide and open floor plan and large outdoor space. Truly one-of-a-kind!

'Island Queen' is located in the lush gated community of Truman Annex in Old Town.
Harry Truman's 'LIttle White House' is directly adjacent to our building.
Mel Fisher's Maritime Museum just 2 blocks away contains artifacts from shipwrecks as far back as the 1700's.
The Old Customs House on the way to Mallory Square is now a vibrant Art Gallery - a 5 minute walk from the garden gate!
The infamous Duval Street with its shops, bars and restaurants is two blocks away.
The location of 'Island Queen' is second to none - you will be able to walk to everything or rent a bike and travel all around the Island along the oceanside with its beaches and bays.

Fort Zachary State Park is a 15 minute walk and a 5 minute bike ride!
Visit the brand new and beautiful Truman Waterfront Park on the way to Fort Zachary Beach! You can snorkel and swim at the natural beach at Fort Zachary State Park and this park has all the amenities you will need, restrooms, snack bar, outdoor cafe and cocktails.
Bring your beach shoes, as it can sometimes be stony getting into the sparkling turquoise sea for a swim.

Boathouse Bar & Grill - the absolute best Happy Hour on the Island! 4:30-6 p.m. Everything is 50% off - Key Lime Margaritas (tastes a bit like a whiskey sour - not too sweet!) Their Coconut Shrimp are to die for! Small plate lamb rack - yummy!
Santiago's Bodega in Bahama Village has the best, most refreshing white sparkling Sangria, delicious chicken skewers, avocado pear salad (large so for sharing) and crusted lambchop tapas. It's nice to sit out on the covered patio in the evening!
Book a lunch reservation in advance of your stay at Latitudes on Sunset Key - the watermelon and tomato salad and the lobster roll (without the bun) is very refreshing and tasty - share a gelato and brownie dessert - all while sitting under the front porch gazing out at the sand and the open ocean with swaying palm trees - what a stunning setting to enjoy and at reasonable cost! The Sunset Key ferry will pick you up at the marina and take you out to Sunset Key and back for free! See the Town of Key West from a different vantage point and enjoy the short boat ride to your destination.
Milagro Restaurant - two blocks away from the Southernmost Point is a recently opened culinary gem serving tasty eclectic dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.
Eaton Fish Market on Eaton Street also serves great lobster rolls at lunchtime and if you want fresh fish to grill up in the garden, this is the place to go around 11 a.m. in the morning for the best choice.
Don't overlook Fausto's Fine Foods on Fleming Street for prepared food to bring back to your patio for lunch and dinner. Fausto's makes a delicious curry chicken salad, fresh coleslaw and a fantastic meat loaf usually on Tuesdays, but get there just before lunchtime (11 a.m.) or they will be sold out!

A Reservation Deposit ($1000) is payable at time of booking and is in addition to, the Rental Rate.
For Monthly Rentals: Cleaning Fee each Saturday during your stay ($250) One Full Payment for the monthly rental using International Bank Wire (Funds Transfer) Reservation Deposit ($1000) will be charged through Visa, Capital One Visa and Master Card only.
On your occupancy, this Deposit automatically converts to a Security Deposit, that is refundable; provided no damages to our property or its contents.
For monthly Rentals: Full Payment with International Bank Wire/Funds Transfer due a minimum of 121 days prior to date set for arrival and any monthly cancellations require 121 days advance notice of the date set for arrival. To prevent financial losses for the Owner and the Renter we strongly suggest obtaining adequate travel insurance to cover the total cost of your accommodations. Monthly cancellations must be made a minimum of 121 days in advance.
Cancellations for shorter stays must be made at least SIXTY-ONE (61) days in advance of your date set for occupancy and no penalty will be charged; there will however be a $300 administration fee deducted from your Reservation Deposit of $1000 (Refund for 61 day required advance notice of cancellation will be $700)

About the owner: My husband and I made our first trip to Key West in 1997. Astounded at all of the sites and sounds, we fell hopelessly in love with Old Town Key West! - The Victorian architecture, the charming and colorful Conch cottages tucked away on the small narrow lane ways, the stunning sunsets and the casual rhythm of island life - there is always the unexpected!
Most days, we ride our bicycles to do the shopping or to go to the beach and leave the car parked under the carport.
We enjoy a carefree, yet active and stimulating life here in wonderful Key West - hardly attainable anywhere else in the world. There is so much fascinating history and stunning natural beauty!
The authentic island flavor of Bahama Village and the lush grandeur of the Truman Annex Community have resonated with us all these years and continue to provide us with a refuge from a frantically fast paced world elsewhere. A relaxed Conch way of life is definitely for us! How about you?
Why this property? Our Foundry Building is an historic structure circa 1860, located within the gated community of the Truman Annex, formerly a U.S. Naval Base. The wide open main floor of our home struck us with its spacious, airy atmosphere.
The 12 foot high ceilings stunted all of the other properties we had seen looked at. The exposed brick walls, full of character, remind us constantly of the rich and colorful heritage of Key West!
There are only 3 residences in our building. We love to grill and eat our dinner in the garden. and value the large, rare outdoor space, palm lined garden and brick patio.
The garden offers quiet privacy, tremendous daytime relaxation and nightly enjoyment.
What we fell in love with was the wide open center hall plan and the unique lay-out of our home!The two upstairs bedrooms are extremely separate with their own adjoining bathrooms for total privacy especially when 2 couples are staying for vacation.
Our home has 2 levels and this was very important to us. We had previously owned a 3 level Foundry home for a couple of years. We found this arrangement awkward, as our friends would have to trudge past our 2nd floor bedroom up yet another flight of stairs to their bedroom.
The only drawback to our current 2 level home and ideal layout for privacy is... everyone we know wants to come for a visit at our Island Queen Foundry home!
What makes this home fantastic is you can go out to the frivolity of the infamous Duval Street and always have the option to retreat to 'Island Queen' and the garden for quiet time together or fun with friends.
Your car is parked at the garden gate under a shared carport - Super convenient for luggage and groceries.
The home has an inspiring and comfortable atmosphere you wont easily forget, after your stay is over.
Not only is it the best location - Island Queen is a one-of-a-kind property!
This home is loved and it shows.
Since all of our guests have been most caring and respectful of our home and our belongings, we are regularly making improvements for ourselves and our guests to enjoy. We love our home and you will, too!

Beautiful home. Perfect location.
I almost don’t want to write this as I’d like to keep it for myself! This extra special house is truly one of a kind. It’s beautifully appointed with so much care given to the decor. It’s truly comfortable in every aspect. There’s so much space inside and out for two couples to enjoy and the height of the rooms makes it seem extra spacious. So convenient having the downstairs utility with washer and dryer and the next door washroom is a bonus too. The bedrooms and bathrooms are separated by the stairs so are very private for two couples or families, the master bed is huge! The bathrooms are very nice, up to date with good shower pressure, everywhere is spotlessly clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything that you could need, we didn’t make full use of it as we weren’t there to cook, we ate out at the many restaurants nearby. This location is fantastic, in a safe gated community surrounded by beautiful properties and right next door to the Truman Little Whitehouse. Duval Street is only a couple of blocks away, it’s an easy walk to Mallory Square and the Historic Seaport. There is a small private pool a short walk away, with shower and bathroom, where we were able to spend some relaxing time, If we come back ( we’re from the UK ) I would certainly stay here again. Rosemary and Mark were extremely pleasant to deal with, their communication was fast, friendly and professional. Pure Bliss!
We cannot say enough great things about the Island Queen! We have stayed here a couple times and are looking forward to our next stay. From the moment we booked, our very first time, Rosemary was incredibly warm, responsive, helpful and extremely thoughtful. And those attributes definitely show in the Island Queen property as well. The home is beautiful, well-appointed, in a perfectly serene and quiet setting—while still walking distance to almost everything that Key West has to offer. Picturesque Oasis Perfect Location
Our family could not have been happier with our decision to stay in this home and book with Rosemary. The entire process was seamless and communication was prompt and detailed. The home was beautifully appointed and newly renovated with excellent taste and attention to detail while still paying homage to the original character of the building. We took walks every day to the marina to get Cuban Coffee and would sit on benches by the water while we watched captain and crew prepare for the day. The location was perfect to walk to many amenities, restaurants, shopping and Mallory Square. You could not ask for a better location. There is outdoor space that we should have (and will in the future) taken better advantage of with the local fresh seafood either from the market or your own excursions. We look forward to booking many more stays at the Island Queen with family and friends!

This is our happy place!
We have stayed at the Island Queen at least four times now, and it is our favorite “getaway” place. We travel with another couple and the townhome is set up perfectly for us, with two very private suites on each end of the upstairs. Rosemary has done a wonderful job of decorating this beautiful home, and she has taken great care to provide all of the amenities her guests could possibly want or need. The garden area is very private and relaxing for a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. The location of Island Queen is second to none in Key West—walking distance to Mallory Square, the Foundry pool, the shopping on Duval, the wharf area, and more restaurants than you could ever frequent in a week’s time. We also rent bikes while we are there to ride to the various beaches Key West has to offer. You cannot go wrong with a stay at the Island Queen—we have already booked for next year! Thanks Rosemary!

Another AMAZING stay at Island Queen!
This was our third stay at Island Queen and I swear each time it gets better and better! The house is so welcoming and truly feels like a home away from home! The location could not be any better. Walking distance to pretty much everything and close to the action but quiet and peaceful! Check in was so easy, and the house is super clean and well maintained. The owners are lovely and kind and always happy to help with anything you need, I HIGHLY recommend !

"Island Queen" is Island Gem
We truly enjoyed our stay at Island Queen. The villa is centrally located in walking distance to everything. It is a perfect rental for two couples as the en suite bedrooms are separated upstairs. Furnishings are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking if you decide to stay home instead of dining in any one of the many great restaurants Key West has to offer. Our host Rosemary was very warm and helpful during our booking process. We cannot wait to return for another stay at Island Queen

We just got back from a week stay at this beautiful condo! My husband and I brought my daughter and her husband with us, and the private bedroom and bath arrangement was exceptional for 2 couples. Just a gem right near Mallory Square offering privacy and peace and quiet and a short walk to Duval. Truly a gem

Perfect spot for two couples
This was our 10th trip to Key West, and our first trip staying in a condo, rather than a hotel. This place is perfect for two couples. The lower level was a wonderful spot to spend time together in the mornings, or winding down in the evenings. Then head upstairs to the two bedrooms which are separated from each other by the stairway for complete privacy. Once in our room we never heard a peep from outside the room. Even the bathrooms are separate from the bedrooms. The bathrooms are very nicely equipped with great showers. The outside patio was a great place to enjoy morning coffee, and sometimes the occasional rooster. The first level has really high ceilings, which means the 18 steps up to the bedrooms was sometimes a challenge after a long day of enjoying the tastes of Key West. Keep that in mind if stairs are a challenge. The location is perfect. For the price we spent for 7 days you’ll have a difficult time finding a hotel room as nice for one couple, let alone for two.

Hi Frank, Thanks for your kind comments! We do love our high ceilings but you do have to climb stairs to get to the bedrooms, unlike a hotel room - this is true. For us, it's not too bad because we don't like low 8' high ceilings. We love the light and the feeling of space the 12 foot high ceilings offer during the daytime and evenings. You didn't mention the convenient 2 piece on the main floor for avoiding extra trips upstairs! LOL Thanks for your thoughtful review and hope you come again.

I cannot say enough positive things about the wonderful ‘Island Queen’. The location in Truman Annex is the best in Key West. It’s quiet, yet close to everything you want to see and do. The home itself is wonderful, it truly has everything you could possibly need. The furnishings are top notch in every room and the bathrooms are awesome! The kitchen has all the equipment you need and the outside gas grill is great. We could tell immediately the care, pride and attention to detail the owners take. They were wonderful to deal with from reservation to checkout. I have been traveling to Key West for almost 30 years and this is best place I have stayed. In this era of Covid, I felt completely safe at the Island Queen knowing that everything was throughly cleaned and ready for our stay. We were sad to leave this beautiful place and hope to return again!

AMAZING!!
This is a one of a kind rental. Beautiful home, spotless, perfect location, the most comfortable beds, etc. The owners were wonderful and easy to deal with but the icing on the cake is Connie! The woman that takes care of the place. We were there during the tropical storm/eta storm and Connie checked on us and went out of her way to make sure we were safe and had everything we needed in case of an emergency situation. Yes, this end unit is "One of a Kind"! Many thanks to Rosemary & Mark. Their spacious, quiet & immaculate home has been our great winter escape. This was our third stay at this remarkable townhouse in one of the best locations in Key West. Many amenities are provided, including a well-equipped kitchen with all needed appliances & utensils. Large washer & dryer are in laundry room. Owners have also provided beach chairs, beach towels, & bar-b-que grill with outside seating in their private courtyard. Another Wonderful Week at the Island Queen!!
I believe this was our 5th or 6th year we've stayed at the Island Queen and we are never disappointed. Thanks to Rosemary and Mark's meticulous care of their home, there are never any surprises. This property has always been immaculatey kept, continuously updated and offers such a unique opportunity to experience the island lifestyle. Location cannot be beat as everything Key West is just a quick walk away. Rosemary's property manager Connie was so great and very easy to work with. You can trust the owners to be as professional as they come. All the details are fine tuned and always taken care of and our security deposit was refunded before we even made it home. You just can't ask for more from a vacation rental property and its owners. We will always look forward to returning to this great property! We had driven through the Keys from Ft Lauderdale and arrived just at dusk. The care taken to make their home welcoming to us upon arrival was noticeable from the start, with the lights warmly lit as we opened the gorgeous French door. This home is so tastefully done and in an exquisite neighborhood, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Everything worth seeing is within walking distance. Thank you for lending us your beautiful home for the week. We plan to return often.

"Island Queen" - paradise!
This upscale property with it's expansive courtyard and well maintained landscaping is located in the beautiful gated community of Truman Annex. Having walked by it many times, it was my husband's and my dream to stay here, and we can't say enough about how special it was when we finally did! The owners love for and extreme pride in their home is evident everywhere and if you have high expectations and standards, this is the perfect place for you. Owners' house rules are explicit and easy to follow. This property is well suited for two adult couples and the pictures on this website represent exactly what you will find - beautifully appointed, very clean, and comfortable surroundings. Hotel rooms just don't compare to what you will find here. A car is not needed because within walking distance of this property are many restaurants, bars, historical sites, and sunset viewing locations including the very popular Mallory Square. If bike riding, fishing, water sports, or day and sunset cruises are on your itinerary, you will find many options within walking distance as well. While Fort Zachery Taylor Park is a short distance away and has a lot to offer, it can be a bit of a walk to the beach area. It was a pleasure working with Rosemary, and staying here again is on our bucket list!

Always happy to share our home with people, who take care of our property - and YOU most certainly did! When we go to Fort Zachary for a beach afternoon, we bike there - it only takes 5 minutes! You can rent them with locks, baskets from Eaton Bikes; they deliver and pick-up from the house; are reasonably priced and have great equipment. We hope you come again next year!Rosemary
Fabulous accommodations in the heart of Key West!
This is our second time spending a week at Island Queen, and it was as wonderful this time as the last. The town home is beautifully decorated, and the layout with two separate and private bed/bath suites is perfect for two couples. The owners take great care to make sure your stay is delightful--upscale furnishings, premium linens, all the necessary kitchen utensils, beautiful bathrooms, outdoor grill and lovely private garden area. The location can't be beat--we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go-- from Duval for dinner and music in the evenings, to Mallory Square for sunsets, to Conch Republic and the harbor area for activities, and of course to the nearby pool which we visited daily. Connie, the property manager, met us upon check-in and took great care of us--she was awesome! If you are planning a trip to Key West, I highly recommend the Island Queen. As I said, we've been twice now and have every intention of going back again--you can't go wrong staying here!

We're just home from our second visit to The Island Queen and it definitely won't be our last. For both location and accommodations you won't find a better place to stay in Key West. It's beautiful. In fact, we had our wedding ceremony in the garden here during our most recent visit! Rosemary is so great to work with and takes such great care of this home. No detail is overlooked. It's within easy walking distance of Duval Street, Mallory Square and Key West Bight where the Conch Republic is located. We spent each afternoon by the pool enjoying the amazing April weather before heading to Duval for dinner and music each evening. You will be so glad you decided to stay here!
