About this rental
Enjoy simple living just a short walk to the beach. All you need to do is pack your bags and everything else is there for you. This fully furnished - open plan efficiency includes everything you need - even small appliances, dishes, and linens. Only one payment a month as it also includes your Electricity, Cable TV, Internet, Water and even has a great pool and outdoor gas barbeque area to enjoy.
As an upper corner unit, it provides great privacy and safety as the windows are all 2nd story on the outside wall so no 'walk by' views into your space. Located across from a public park, with library and restaurants and shops close by, you can leave your car parked and enjoy the neighborhood by foot or bike. There is a rack for your bike and even on site laundry facilities.
The open floor plan and a Murphy bed, allows for daytime space. The futon allows for an occasional guest.
** Please note: High Season (January-April) is $2200/month plus taxes.
Any rentals less than 6 months plus 1 day are subject to the 12% (sales 7% and tourism 5%) taxes.

Area Information
Cape Canaveral is a great little town. Our Cozy Condo is located across from a public park and just down the street from the public library.
It is walking distance to some fun family owned restaurants and minutes by car to the nearest grocery store and souvenir shopping.
You can even bring a bicycle for getting around town or riding on the beach.

Cape Canaveral Beach -- Direct access down the street or if you prefer a public park with showers, we are located between Jetty Park and Cherry Down Park.
Favorite Places To Eat
Roberto's Little Havana - Cuban food - make sure you get the black beans and yellow rice as the side dishes. One of our favorite dishes is the pan fried Snapper (just be ready to pick out the bones as it comes with head on) -- a bit of a drive - in South Cocoa Beach, but worth the drive.
Pacific Rim - great for Sushi - also has Thai food - In Merritt Island - on Courtenay Parkway. Dine in or carry out.

Calema Windsurfing & Watersports offers Windsurfing, Sailing, Kayaking and Stand-Up Paddling on the Banana River in Merritt Island. Just a short walk to the beach - right down from a public beachside park, Cherry Down Park (if you want friends to come to the beach with you). There is also a public park across the street from the condo - so it gives extra parking for visitors as well as the parks facility. It also has a public library right down the road. Nice neighborhood for walking or biking. The pool area is surrounded by a tall wall, so there is lots of privacy that is not as common on other rental units in the area. Come and enjoy our 'Cozy Condo' as your home away from home. Orlando airport is 45 minutes away.

Notes:
We do require a REFUNDABLE $500 cleaning/security deposit on any rentals of 2 months or less. This is fully refundable as long as the unit is left clean and without any damages. A minimum of $150 will be charged if unit is left dirty.
Rental reservations made more than 6 months in advance of occupancy require a $1000 non refundable deposit - in the case of cancellation - that will only be returned if the condo can be re-rented at the same rate and for the same amount of time.

About the host: We, Tinho and Susie - moved to the Spacecoast in 1984 and have always lived on Merritt Island. We moved from Northern Viriginia to follow our dream of owning a Watersports business and traveled all along the East Coast looking for the perfect destination.
We owned Calema Windsurfing & Watersports for 40 years - in Merritt Island and offered Instruction, Rentals and a Pro-shop for Windsurfing, Sailing, Kayaking and Stand-up Paddling. We are now a mobile on call operation with limited hours but would love to tell you all about the amazing water activities in our area.

Why this property? We purchased this condo in 2002 and fell in love with many of its features. The pool area is nice and private, surrounded by a privacy wall.
The 2nd story corner location gives more privacy as the windows are on the outside wall, so you can enjoy lots of light without anyone seeing in or walking by. Being located in a residential area, there are more houses, which adds to its charm.
21 years later and we still love our 'Cozy Condo in Cape Canaveral'.

How far is it from the beach.
We are just a short 4 blocks to the beach - takes less than 10 minutes to walk and it is a direct access (no big condos blocking the way).
Does it have a washer/dryer?
Yes. There is a washer/dryer room - coin operated for all the apartment residents - downstairs by the pool area.
Can I park a boat or motorcycle on the property?
Only one vehicle is allowed per apartment. There is plenty of room for guests at the park across the street.
Can I bring my dog or cat or porcupine?
No, due to the potential allergies of future customers, and HOA rules, we do not allow any animals.
Is smoking allowed on the property?
There is a strict "No Smoking" policy for the entire complex - even outside by the pool area. Any smoking inside the unit will be cause for forfeiture of deposit.

Perfect studio apartment, minutes away from the beach, pickleball courts and cyling
We found this studio apartment met all our needs and was very affordable. The beach is down the street as are the pickleball courts. Bring your bikes and cycle every day or enjoy great daily walks. Susie and her husband are friendly and available if you have any needs. We highly recommend this rental!

Quiet Retreat
If your looking for a quiet retreat away from the crowds and traffic of Cocoa Beach yet still being within easy driving distance this is your place. The apartment is large, comfortable and quiet. The screened in porch catches the afternoon sun and is a great place to read and have an afternoon cocktail. The apartment was well appointed with enough of everything to be comfortable. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and my wife loved the bathtub. It's about a 15 minute drive to the beaches and a 10 minute drive to the nearest Publix. The drive to and from the apartment was always entertaining because of the variety of birds and animals we saw (otters, alligators and wild pigs). Susie and her husband are great. They were helpful and informative as well as being delightful to talk with. For example, our TV stopped working shortly after we got there and Susie had a new one for us the next day. We enjoyed our 3 months and we would return.
