Unique Benefits
Hurricane Opal took our first home on the Cape. When she took it from us we were excited to find an area on the Cape to rebuild that offered so much ambiance, tranquility and privacy. The beaches are very wide, less populated and offer an abundance of wild life and good fishing.
Walk the beach and find beautiful shells or spend an afternoon surf fishing. It is not unusual to see dolphins swimming close to shore. There is kayaking, surfing, golfing, hiking, boating, biking and many other activities on the Cape. Rent a horse for a romantic sunset or moonlight ride or bike the length of the Cape. Enjoy the beautiful new scenic walkway along the bay or play pickle ball on one of the four new courts. There is also a volleyball court, a screened in pavilion , fire pit and a long bay side dock perfect for the kids to throw in a fishing line. Many vacationers have discovered bird watching in the area.
We've also included a $250 VayK Gear credit to be used toward bikes, boards, chairs and umbrellas. Your gear will be delivered prior to your arrival and picked up when you leave.
Why Kids Love It
Kids love it as the beach is not crowded. There is plenty of room to play volleyball, soccer, fly a kite, search for shells and more. They love the horse back riding on the beach. Your family can ride bikes on the sidewalk as far out as the State Park
Area Information
The Sea Esta is located in a small secluded sub-division across from the newly built park. Far enough away from the crowded beach area further North on the Cape but near enough for the convenience of most everything the Cape has to offer.
Attractions Within Walking Distance
The now bigger and better Salinas Park, which is just a stones' throw from the Sea Esta, offers residents and visitors a day's worth opportunities to experience and learn about coastal habits. An accessible elevated boardwalk lined with interpretive signage allows people of all abilities the chance to study the area's flora and fauna as they take in the spectacular views of the St Joseph Bay, a state aquatic preserve, among the tree tops of pines, magnolias and oaks. Three new trail heads-outfitted with a bike repair station, water mister and fountains connect to the adjacent 11 -mile Loggerhead bike trail on Cape San Blas. A new playground structure with shaded seating provides enjoyment for children and adults alike. Enjoy the fire pit for an evening of watching the beautiful sunsets. Finally, by popular demand, pickle ball pros can hone their skills on the park's four new courts, a volleyball court, fire pit and enclosed screened pavilions for family picnics. This not any noise that travels as far as the Sea Esta.
Favorite Places To Eat
There are many casual places to eat on the Cape and Port St Joe offers additional choices from fast food to more Leisurely dining. You will be furnished a booklet with more information about added attractions including places to eat.

About the host: We, as owners, currently live in Colorado. We love being able to take a break from our busy lifestyle and come to the Cape for rest and relaxation and to enjoy the peace and ambiance of it. When we are not there we are happy to share our home so that others can experience the Cape also.
Thank you for choosing the Sea Esta. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Why this property? 34 Years ago when we came to the Cape on a camping trip we loved it so much that we decided to make an investment there. That was when the Cape was very much undiscovered and quaint magical place. It continues to have the quiet atmosphere as there are no high rises, go cart tracks or fast food restaurants there. Lots has changed but the ambiance remains. There are hiking trails, lots of wildlife, parks, nature walks, four pickle ball courts., volleyball, fire pit, palivilians and a great place for kids to run around or fish of the dock.

Sea Esta fir a great fall getaway
We made a last minute decision to visit Cape San Blas and introduce our pups to the beach. Sea Esta was a little bigger than we needed, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The elevator was a lifesaver. The master suite was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the living area was nice. We also appreciated the manicured front yard for walking the dogs. The beach gear credit was also a nice perk!

Owner response
Cookie,We're really glad you enjoyed our home at the Cape. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Come back and see us again.David and Penne
Most enjoyable stay.
This rental is on the South Cape among many lovely homes and sits on the Gulf of Mexico side. You can walk to a nature preserve area overlooking Port St Joe bay. The water was warm, the weather was in the low 80's with a great ocean breeze. Morning sun was bright and the rental could have used some form of screening for the east side to enjoy the deck in the morning for coffee, breakfast etc. Musty, mildew smell on entry level the elevator is blessing for carting things to top floors.

Perfect beach views and location!
Clean and comfortable beach home with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Gorgeous sunsets were a favorite for us. And the location was perfect for an easy drive to great seafood restaurants in Port St. Joe and and Apalachicola. Rain or shine, we were out almost every evening enjoying local musicians at the Scallop Republic, High Five and other venues. Thank you to David and Penne for taking good care of us. We are already looking forward to an even longer stay next year!
