Must-Try Restaurants in Marathon, Florida

Florida Keys Steak and Lobster House

This charming restaurant is a local favorite. They are known to have a menu with lots of variety and lots of great fresh local seafood. Is there anything better than a relaxed vibe and tropical atmosphere? We think not! You can’t go wrong whether you sit inside in their cozy dining room or outside by the tiki bar!

Pro tip: They have a full sushi menu and it is fresh and delicious! We suggest you take a look and order a roll or two as an appetizer or your whole meal!

The Island Fish Co.

This fun spot is located right on the bay and has amazing waterfront views! They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu features lots of local seafood and it is all prepared to perfection. You will also definitely want to check out the tiki bar for a fun tropical drink.

Pro tip: They offer “dock and dine.” So if you have a boat you can pull right up, park and enjoy a great meal!

Sunset Grille

Talk about an icon! Sunset Grille is located right next to the infamous Seven Mile Bridge. This restaurant is unique for its location as well as its sushi and seafood fusion options on the menu. The outdoor seating has spectacular views and is a prime location for sunsets. But one of the most unique things about this restaurant is the pool! They offer poolside drinks and dining, as well as use of the pool. How cool!

Keys Fisheries

Key Fisheries offers casual dockside dining and a true Keys experience. They are both a seafood market and restaurant so you can eat there or grab some fresh local seafood to go. They are well-known for their stone crab (yum!) as well as their lobster reuben.

Pro tip: Make sure to bring your own drinks if you want them. This spot is BYOB. Also, check the sunset timing. The views here are perfect.

Lazy Days South

Lazy Days has a gorgeous waterfront location. Come here to enjoy fantastic seafood and views! This restaurant has a true island vibe with live music, tiki bar and lots of local charm. If you love seafood you will want to try the conch fritters, stone crab claws and the classic fish sandwich. Don’t forget dessert! The key lime pie is worth it!

Pro tip: We suggest you ask for local recommendations on the menu. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to help you pick the perfect meal. Also, try to time your reservation to sunset times for an incredible view. If you don’t have a reservation, arrive early!

Porky’s Bayside Restaurant and Marina

You will definitely want to try out this landmark restaurant on your next visit to the Keys. Porky’s has a tropical vibe with a scenic waterfront location. They offer fresh local seafood, a variety of tasty drinks, marina access and live music!

Pro tip: We suggest you try the conch fritters, fish tacos and pulled pork sandwich and top it off with the key lime pie! You are in the keys after all. The flavors are great and the atmosphere is just right for a good time!

The Stuffed Pig

This unique spot has pig-themed decor (would you expect any less?) and an eclectic menu. This local favorite is known for its homestyle cooking and large portions. They also offer breakfast all day! If you are looking for comfort food – then look no further! We highly recommend the stuffed french toast if you are looking for something sweet. The biscuits and gravy are also fantastic or the Pig’s Dinner Special is also usually a winner! Save room for dessert. They have delicious homemade pies to choose from!

Irie Island Eats

Irie Island offers Caribbean fare with a twist. They use local ingredients and each dish is carefully prepared. The jerk chicken is top notch! This fun spot also has vibrantly colorful decor that will get you feeling festive! They take a farm to table approach with a focus on clean food.
