Get out and take a walk into the wilderness at the Aubudon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. Walk over two miles of boardwalk through pine flatwoods, open prairies, and into North America’s largest forest of ancient bald cypress, a massive relative of the redwood. The forest is home to hundreds of alligators, otters, Florida Black bears, white-tailed deer, red-bellied turtles and more than 200 species of birds, including the largest colony of nesting wood storks in the United States.
